Eviction Policies:
The sheriff's office does not notify tenants
of the eviction date. To their knowledge,
most landlords notify tenants of the
eviction date at least a day beforehand. If
you have a court judgment that may grant
eviction, it is important that someone is
present at the property on the eviction date
with a dated receipt or with the full amount
of the court judgment. Evictions may take a
long time to get on the sheriff's schedule
due to a shortage of deputies on staff.
Landlords are required to have at least 20
people present on the day of the eviction.
