Description:
The Fair Housing Specialist will provide
information and counseling to assist
clients with their rights and
responsibilities regarding fair housing
law. This position also provides fair
housing compliance testing and housing
discrimination complaint processing. The
Specialist also conducts community
education and outreach regarding fair
housing. Specialized training related to
fair housing and tenant-landlord is
provided.
Under the supervision of the Program
Manager--Fair Housing, individual
functions as flexible member in support
of federal, state, and local fair
housing law enforcement. Coordinates all
aspects of testing and monitoring
program, responds appropriately to
discrimination inquiries and provides
community education/outreach. This
position maintains necessary
documentation and records and works
collaboratively with other BNI staff and
departments. Fair Housing Specialists
are crossed trained on the Test
Coordinator and Compliance Officer
functions and assume primary
responsibility in one or both areas as
assigned, based on the Fair Housing
Department.

Monday - Friday.
Additional
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree
with at least one year related work
experience. Must be computer literate,
able to communicate effectively over the
telephone, and have excellent written
and oral communication skills
